We are Gateway Educational Services, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in Goleta and Lompoc, California. We are delighted that you continue to be a part of our mission to create opportunities for all students to succeed with programs specifically designed for their needs. Help us fund our academic services for the 2023–2024 academic year.

First and foremost, we express our sincere appreciation for opening your heart to the important work of Gateway Educational Services. Whether you are a past or returning donor, exciting things are coming ahead. Last year, we were able to help 88 students improve their reading and math. This year, we are focusing on raising funds to support two groups. The first group is the Latinx students from Santa Barbara Community Academy. The second group comprises African-American students from Lompoc and Santa Barbara.

The Challenge

“Gateway Educational Services provided so much support that I could see a drastic change in my daughter and the way she approached school work. It was a game changer!" - Alma M.

“Most California students continue to struggle with pandemic learning setbacks and do not meet grade-level standards in math and reading, new state test scores show, with incremental gains in math but largely flat or slightly declining results in English.” - L.A. Times, October 18, 2023.

In addition to improving their academics, students who attend Gateway have higher self-confidence, emotional intelligence, and social skills. Since they receive 90 minutes of weekly instruction in a 1:1 ratio, our tutors can provide targeted and specific interventions. Parents appreciate the way they see their child's confidence and motivation improve.

Our Goal: With your help, we will raise $50,000 to support our tutoring programs. This amount will provide 40 students with 1–1 tutoring for one academic year. Sponsor a student today! $1,250 will help a student start to thrive.

Without partners like you, our organization cannot continue to provide crucial academic intervention.

Sincerely,
