Heartsaver® CPR AED Training Program - Bailey’s Heart and Soul Foundation
Audience - This course is designed for the general public, workplace employees, fitness professionals, educators, parents, and community members who need CPR and AED certification for non-healthcare settings. It is ideal for:
- Employees in corporate settings, schools, and recreational facilities.
- Coaches, gym staff, and trainers in fitness centers and sports organizations.
- Parents, caregivers, and babysitters.
- Church members and community volunteers.
What’s Taught - Participants will gain life-saving skills through a combination of hands-on practice, instructor demonstrations, and real-world emergency scenarios.
Recognition of Cardiac Emergencies:
- Signs of cardiac arrest, heart attack, stroke, and choking.
- Understanding the importance of immediate action and calling 911.
CPR Techniques for All Ages:
- Proper hand placement and compression depth for adults, children, and infants.
- Rescue breathing techniques for those who require ventilation support.
- Hands-only CPR option for lay responders.
Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Use:
- How to operate an AED effectively and safely.
- AED pad placement for adult and pediatric patients.
- Troubleshooting and understanding AED prompts.
Choking Emergency Response:
- Conscious and unconscious choking relief for adults, children, and infants.
- Use of abdominal thrusts (Heimlich maneuver) for choking victims.
Hands-On Practice & Interactive Training:
- Use of CPR manikins to practice chest compressions.
- AED trainers to simulate real-world defibrillation scenarios.
- Role-playing cardiac arrest scenarios to build confidence in emergency response.
Certification:
- American Heart Association (AHA) Certification
- Participants receive a 2-year Heartsaver® CPR AED certification upon successful course completion.
- Certification meets OSHA and workplace compliance requirements for non-healthcare professionals.
